CEFOR, originally an association of Norwegian marine underwriters, today includes 13 marine insurance companies and mutuals in the Nordic countries. The mission of CEFOR is to serve the interests of its Nordic members by promoting quality marine insurance through comprehensive statistics, competence building, agreed all risks conditions (Nordic Marine Insurance Plan) and a common public voice.
Christen is Senior Vice President and Head of Industry Liaison and Quality Management in Gard and a member of the Top Management Group. He has been with Gard since 1992 in various roles, among those as Head of Claims and Managing Director of Gard UK. Previous chairmen from Gard have been Bjørnar Andresen and Sven Henrik Svensen.
