Gard Corporate Donations – recipients autumn 2015

In Gard today we remember and acknowledge our origins, we value our leading position in the industry and we are mindful of the role we play in the environments in which we operate.

Twice a year we show our appreciation by giving back to society. This autumn, Gard’s Corporate Donations were made to the following applicants:

  • Norske Redningshunder (Aust-Agder) / Norwegian Search and Rescue dogs (Aust-Agder county) for their work in training search and rescue dogs, used in emergencies to locate missing people

  • Arendals turnforening /Arendal’s rhythm and sports gymnastics organisation  for their dedicated work with people from the age of 2 to 70 through their rhythm and sports gymnastics sessions and courses 

  • IMPANDE, Gamalakhe Foundation Norway received funding to rebuild the Khanyanjalo Creche kindergarten/center, transforming it from mud and tin walls to a proper  educational building

  • Aust-Agder idrettskrets  / Aust-Agder districts of sports activities received a donation to their annual winter camp for physically  disabled youngsters at Hovden ski/mountain activity center

  • Strømmen Glimt Håndball Gutter 2000 / Strømmen Glimt Handball (Boys 2000) received support to acquire new sports equipment to meet the requirements when competing in a higher league

When we make our donations, we apply the same educational aims as we use when helping our Members and clients because we know that sharing our knowledge and expertise is essential to our business.
