Gard Marine & Energy Limited, Gard Marine & Energy Insurance (Europe) AS, Assuranceforeningen Gard and the Norwegian branch of Gard P. & I. (Bermuda) Ltd are members of the Norwegian Non-life Insurance Guarantee Scheme for the following insured entities:

• Gard Marine & Energy Limited for vessels less than 15 meters in length overall and fishing vessels up to and including 50 gross tonnes registered in Skipsregisteret.

• Gard Marine & Energy Insurance (Europe) AS for vessels less than 15 meters in length overall and fishing vessels up to and including 50 gross tonnes registered in Skipsregisteret.

• Assuranceforeningen Gard – gjensidig and the Norwegian branch of Gard P. & I. (Bermuda) Ltd for compulsory liability insurance for Norwegian vessels in compliance with the Civil Liability, Bunker and Athens Conventions.

The purpose of the Non-life Insurance Guarantee Scheme is to ensure coverage of insurance claims filed under agreements on direct non-life insurance, to the secured and injured party. Its activities are regulated by the Norwegian Financial Undertakings Act. The Scheme covers claims by policyholders in insurance undertakings which are placed under public administration, provided the claim falls within the scope of coverage of the Guarantee Scheme.
