Gard joins the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), the International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF) and other fellow industry bodies to call on ships across the globe to sound their horns when in port at 12.00 local time on 1st May 2020.

TF and ICS are encouraging this gesture of solidarity to recognise over 1.6 million seafarers around the world. They are the unsung heroes of global trade who keep countries supplied with food, fuel and important medical supplies not only during the COVID-19 but every day.
Prior to engaging in blowing the horns ships should ensure that appropriate clearance is sought where required.
